1. Raw Veggies

Raw vegetables are amongst the most nutritious and healthiest foods for us, but they are not the right foods to take just after workout. Because, they are not considerable enough support your body to restore metabolism and recover energy. 

2. Fast Food

Yes, it is true that you feel hunger after completing your workout. You feel so hunger that you just want to take any food items. It is bad for your health. Fast foods are oily and have high calories. Avoid eating fast food after your workout as it affects your digestive system a lot and adds extra fat to your body. 

3. Salty Snacks

It is harmful to consume pretzels, chips and salty snacks just after the workout. Such salty foods shake the water-salt balance of the body and decrease the potassium levels. 

4. Sweetened Beverages

Stay away from the intake of sweetened beverages and aerated, tinned or canned drinks after your workout. The value of your workouts will go in vain, if you take such drinks. If you feel thirsty, drink plain water instead of sweetened drinks. 

5. Sweets and Desserts

Like sweetened beverages, desserts and sweets are harmful if you take them just after your workout. Your body discharges energy from the fat collected after your workout. Supplying desserts and sweets just after exercise make you lose this advantage. So, avoid the intake of such foods. 

6. Pizzas

Pizzas, part of junk food, are fatty and greasy foods. A single slice of pizza leads you to face harmful effect if you take it just after your workout.

7. Chocolates

Undoubtedly, chocolate is a great source of energy. But its intake just after workout is a terrible thing to get indulged in. Take it after one-two hours of your workout, but don’t take it immediately.

8. Cheese

All types of workouts that you do support you lose the fat stored in your body and release energy. You know cheese is a great source of saturated fat. So, avoid it completely after your workout.

9. Energy Bars High on Sugar

You have released your body energy as sweat through performing workouts. Taking energy bars just after workout will lead you to avail the benefits of the workouts you have done. So, avoid it completely after your workout. 

10. Bread

You know bread converts starch into sugar very fast and hence, it is not a healthy food item to be consumed just after workout. Keep the bread at a bay.
