1. Apple

It is 100% true – an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apples have phytochemicals that prevent blood from clotting and act as an anti-inflammatory. Enriched with vitamins and fibres, apples are perfect breakfast options for you. Using it differently, you never get bored of apple intake.

2. Almonds

Do you avoid nuts as they contain oil? If yes, leave it and go with nuts especially almonds because the oil available in almonds is healthy for your heart. It contains vitamin E that keeps cholesterol in control. Further, it contains fibre. So, start taking 4-5 soaked almonds in your morning breakfast to make your heart healthy.

3. Berries

Blueberries, cranberries, gooseberry, huckleberry, mulberry, strawberries, etc. are a rich source of vitamin C. In addition to vitamin C, the berries contain beta-carotene and calcium. Use these berries one by one with yogurt or oats. Your heart will become healthier and stronger and you will be at a bay from heart related problems.

4. Salmon

In order to keep your heart healthy, you should eat this sea food two times a week. Fish has omega-3 fatty acid and it helps your blood from clotting and keeps chronic diseases at a bay. Go with grilled fish and ignore spicy one. You can use salmon with green salad and a dash of lime.

5. Soy

Soy doesn’t taste well but it is extremely good for your heart. Through its regular intake for a period, you can escape yourself from having a heart stroke. Its intake reduces the saturated fats in your body. You can use it in place of red meat. Further, you can fry soy with your veggies and rice. You can make soy milk as a substitute for regular milk and use it as morning cereal or milkshakes.

In addition to the above mentioned foods, you can take green vegetables, whole grain products, tomatoes, brown rice and oats as heart friendly foods.
