Eyes are very an important organ for us. Without eyes, the beautiful world around us is nothing for us. When we see well and have no discomfort, we forget about our eye health. But a slight discomfort makes us restless. Continuous and longer exposure to screen, indoor & outdoor pollutants and nutrient-deficient are the factors that can lead you to a serious problem or even vision loss.

According to a recent WHO report, around 285 million people suffer from blindness or low vision. Out of these, 246 million people have moderate to severe visual impairment while 39 million are completely blind. There are several myths related to eyesight and visual impairment. You should not follow those myths to enhance your eyesight, as there are no scientific researches backing them. Protect your eyesight with these three simple exercises:

Perform Focus Exercises

Sit or stand in front of a simple wall. Place your thumb around 10 inches away from your eyes. Keep your eyes focused on the thumb. Now start focusing the object that is 25 feet away from you. Look ahead and move your vision from right to left. Look right again. Repeat this 5-10 times.

Do Eyelid Massage

Place your fingers lightly around your closed eyes and move them in circular movements. Stimulate your eyes and make them feel like a message.

Perform Hot and cold compress

Take two soft short towels. Soak one in the hot water and another in cold water. Place the warm towel on your face in such a way that it can cover your eyelids, eyebrows and cheeks. Replace it with the cold towel. Repeat the complete session 3-5 times.
