I often come across people claiming that their children don’t concentrate on what they do, i.e. study. You know its main cause is that your child is not taking a balanced diet in his/her breakfast, lunch, or dinner. No intake of proper nutrients results in an irritable and groggy mood. It also influences the productivity of a child. To improve your child’s concentration, you should follow these four effective steps:

  1. Give a whole grain breakfast to your child

You know the lack of sugar in the body makes your child stay hassled and unfocused. To make your child stay focused, start giving enough whole grains to your child in his/her breakfast. Include millet and brown rice in your child’s breakfast. Cook brown rice poha for your child’s breakfast. Creative way to include whole grains in your baby’s breakfast is to add cooked grains in the shakes they take in the morning. Including whole grains in the breakfast reduces cravings and helps your child sustain good eight hours without brain fog.

  1. Don’t give sugar to your child at home

It is hard for you to monitor your kid’s sugar intake when your kid is outside. So, it is good for you to control your child’s sugar intake at home. The best way is that you should mention the negative effects of sugar through written notes. Place the notes at the fridge or somewhere so that your child can easily see them. Try to adjust the amount of sugar they take in their regular meal. Make slower changes instead of drastic one.

For instance, give one and a half spoon of sugar to your child if he/she takes two spoon in morning milk and gradually take it down to one spoon.

  1. Give these snacks if your child is craving

Instead of potatoes, you can give sweet potatoes, also known as shakrkand, in the forms of baked chips or French fries. Your child tastes them amazing. Make delicious chips of arbi if your child wrinkles nose for arbi. You can do pan frying of arbi after boiling it.

  1. Make a lip-smacking roti roll using red pumpkin

Starch, a natural source of serotonin, helps a person in maintaining a great mood. We get bored taking the same food items regularly and so, you can use red pumpkin to make a lip-smacking roti roll. Taking such a starch helps your kid stay happy and calm. As a result, he/she has an improved concentration.
