Like an injury, migraine is painful. Make some changes in your lifestyle when you notice a migraine is taking over your life. Some little things like dust, noise and even light help migraine to trigger. It is essential for you to identify the things that trigger your headaches if you are a migraine patient. Here some effective ways to stop a migraine:

  1. Free your bedroom from clutter

Your bedroom must be for sleeping and relaxing. Avoid watching television and eating food in your bedroom, as it may cause an interruption in sleep. Use fan or earplugs to cut off yourself from distracting noise.

  1. Fix a time for your sleep

Your poor sleep can trigger your migraine. Therefore, you must have a sound sleep and avoid having any hindrance to it. You should sleep at a fixed time every day whether it is weekday or weekend if you suffer from a migraine.

  1. Turn off the lights and music

Most of the patients with a migraine are highly sensitive to light as well as sound. It would be great to turn off the lights and music system before you go to bed. Avoid having a single small creaking in your sleep to escape from having a serious migraine pain.

Keeping fast or eating nothing can trigger your migraine pain. Ensure that you take your breakfast within few hours of your wake up. Do not make much delay. In addition, be sure that you take enough water to keep yourself hydrated.

  1. Increase your supplement intake

Migraine pain has a direct link to the low level of magnesium. With an increase of magnesium supplement, you can reduce the frequency of having the sudden attack of migraine pain. Do not forget to consult your doctor before starting any supplement.

  1. Stay away from the foods that trigger a migraine

Some food items like chocolate and alcohol trigger migraine. You need to identify such foods and avoid taking them.
